Two weeks in...

I'm an organization expert!

Ok, not really. But I did get our daily schedules into my new Household Notebook (and have been pretty much keeping to them). I also have the beginnings of a weekly cleaning schedule and both monthly and seasonal lists of things that need to be done. I'm working on my meal planning mojo, too... so far, I've done a weekly meal plan for two weeks straight and kept to it! I know that's not much, but it is making dinner decisions a little easier. Plus, it's in dry erase marker so I can change it quickly if something comes up.

In other news, I've been engrossed in the seed catalogs that have been showing up in my mail box. They're so pretty and chock full of fun things to grow. I'm going to have to be very careful not to over-plan or over-order! I'm trying to stick with the basics this year since it's my first real garden. I need it to be fairly successful so I don't get discouraged! Corn, peas, potatoes, beans, squash... pumpkins? Any suggestions out there?

  1. Hi there. :) Planning the garden is a fun part of the process, and it's *so* easy to overdo it! How large a space do you have to grow? I'd be happy to share some of my successes and failures from last year. :)

  2. Hi Erin! I'd love some advice... the more, the better. I think I'm going to have three 3-foot by 8-foot beds, if Hubby gets the planned space cleared.
